Muhammad Tamim Iqbal Khan (born 20 March 1989; Chittagong) is a left-handed opening batsman and former Test captain of the team, who plays international cricket for Bangladesh. He made his International debut in ODI against on 09 February 2007 against Zimbabwe.
Tamim is also the first Bangladeshi to score 10,000 international runs. On 23rd January 2018 against Zimbabwe at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka, he became the first batsman for Bangladesh to reach 6,000 runs in ODIs. In the 11 years he has taken to reach the milestone.
